# Why we don't accept cash on delivery (COD)

# Why we dont accept cash on delivery COD

To offer a safer, more efficient and sustainable service, Alberoshop.it has chosen not to use cash on delivery. This decision allows us to guarantee faster shipments, lower costs and better protection for all customers.

## The main reasons

Over the years, cash on delivery has generated:
- numerous unjustified package refusals
- high storage and return costs
- logistical waste, especially for fragile products

All of this negatively affected the service and final prices.

## Digital payments are safer today

Contrary to what many think, cash on delivery is not the safest method. Today systems like:
- certified payment cards
- PayPal
- Scalapay

offer advanced protections for the customer, full traceability and coverage in case of problems.

## Benefits for you as a customer

Thanks to digital payments we can:
- ship faster
- reduce logistics costs
- offer more competitive prices
- guarantee greater security in purchases
