# The wine tastes corky or has a strange flavour: what to do

A **corky taste** is a rare but possible flaw: it can appear in a small percentage of bottles even when the wine has been stored correctly.

If you think the bottle you received has this problem, follow these steps.

### 🍾 What to do now

1. **Reseal the bottle with the original cork**, even if it has already been opened or partly consumed.
2. **Open a request on our support portal**, selecting **"Faulty or not working item"**.
3. **Describe the flaw**, giving the name of the wine and the product code (SKU) if possible. If you are not sure where to find it, read [Where is the product code (SKU)?](https://supporto.alberoshop.it/en/article/where-is-the-product-code-sku-xtkoid/).

The form will ask you for the **order number**, the product concerned and, if possible, a **photo** of the label and the cork.
