# I am a foreign company can I purchase VAT-exempt?

Yes, it is possible to purchase on Alberoshop.it in VAT exemption if your company is registered in the European VIES system (VAT Information Exchange System).

VAT exemption is only available for companies with a valid and active VAT number within the European Union.

## Key requirement: VIES registration

To be able to purchase VAT-exempt, your VAT number must be:
- active
- valid
- registered with VIES

## What to do before purchasing

## If the VAT number is not valid

- appears inactive
- has inconsistent data
